The Crested Crane is Uganda’s national bird. This faithful bird forms long-lasting pair bonds with their mates. In other words, crested cranes are monogamous. Given their zoological understanding that the main thing is to “keep the main thing the main thing”, it is this very ‘Fidelity’ which have personally influenced my marital life with my wife over the years, to keep marriage vows constantly in full view.

Crested cranes come occasionally to graze near my residence, a perfect addendum to the already stunning mountain scenery.
